The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday released the new population policy for 2021-2030 ahead of the assembly elections in the state. In the new population policy, a target has been set to bring the birth rate to 2.1 per thousand population by 2026 and 1.9 by 2030. When asked about Yogi Adityanath's push for a law for population control, Nitish Kumar said that it is more important for women to be educated to control the growing population. Hence it is clear that not only the opposition parties but NDA's ally JDU itself have also raised questions over the issue. Watch this episode of Halla Bol.
