The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rains in parts of North India, which has been reeling under an unforgiving heatwave. While the long-delayed monsoon finally arrived in Delhi on Tuesday, bringing heavy rains and thunderstorms, three people died and nine others were reported missing after flash floods washed away over a dozen houses in two remote Kangra villages in Himachal Pradesh.
