Rains wreak havoc in Himachal Pradesh, IMD issues yellow alert

Flash floods triggered by heavy rains damaged several buildings and washed away cars in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala on Monday. Himachal Pradesh experienced heavy rainfall on Sunday night. As a result, the region witnessed flash floods the next day, submerging streets in Dharamshala and adjoining areas.

The NDRF has dispatched three teams for rescue-and-search operations in the flash flood-affected regions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alert with warning of heavy rains for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
