The Sultanate of Zanzibar (Swahili: Usultani wa Zanzibar, Arabic: سلطنة زنجبار‎), also known as the Zanzibar Sultanate, was a state controlled by the Sultan of Zanzibar, in place between 1856 and 1964.

Zanzibar used a wordless anthem adopted in 1911. It composed by Sir Donald Tovey. The melody was a popular before it was made the national anthem. National anthem was used while the Sultanate was still a British protectorate until Zanzibar merged with Tanganyika in 1964 to form Tanzania.
