A video of tourists flouting Covid-19 norms at Mussoorie’s Kempty falls has gone viral. Soon after, officials announced that only 50 visitors will be allowed to bathe with a maximum permissible time of 30 minutes. The district administration has taken the decision in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, District Magistrate Iva Ashish Shrivastava told News18. “There will be a time limit of 30 minutes for each bather," she said, adding an air horn will be used to signal the exit time. Despite the looming threat of the third wave of Covid-19, videos & pictures of long queues of private vehicles, overcrowded tourist locations have raised alarm. Recently, a similar video posted on social media showed a little boy walking on a crowded street and scolding everyone who was walking without a mask in Dharamshala. In the video, the little kid, who is wearing a mask and has no slippers on, is seen holding a plastic stick. The little boy uses the stick to poke everyone who passes him by and asks, “Tumhara mask kaha hai?" (Where is your mask?). However, no one pays much attention to him. The five-year-old kid named Amit has now been made the local police’s mascot for coronavirus protocols.
