Dilip Kumar passes away at 98
Actor Mohammed Yusuf Khan popularly known as Dilip Kumar, passed away in Mumbai on July 7.
Dilip Kumar had been admitted to the Hinduja Hospital for a variety of age-related health issues. His wife Saira Banu Khan had earlier tweeted about his improving medical condition. But that was a short-lived glimmer of hope.
His career spans over five decades with hits like Devdas, Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam and Ram Aur Shyam to name some. He made his acting debut with 'Jwar Bhata' in 1944, was last seen in the 1998 film 'Qila'.
In 1991, Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Indian cinema. In 1994, he received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
