Where the corona pandemic spread across the world has killed millions of people. At the same time, even after recovering from corona, this virus is not leaving the patient's life. In fact, recently there were many cases of mucormycosis ie black fungus, while now there have been three new cases of avascular necrosis ie 'bone death'. Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a condition in which bone tissue begins to die. This condition occurs when sufficient amount of blood does not reach these tissues. It is also called osteonecrosis. Due to avascular necrosis, the bones begin to wear out and eventually reach the verge of extinction. Joint pain starts when lifting weights and in the end the condition worsens so much that even when lying down, there is pain in the joints. In this disease, the pain is of moderate or very sharp and it increases gradually. Due to avascular necrosis in the hip, there is pain in this limb, pelvis, and thigh.

दुनिया भर में फैली कोरोना माहामारी ने जहां लाखों-करोड़ों लोगों की जान ले ली हैं। वहीं, कोरोना से उबरने के बाद भी यह वायरस मरीज की जान नहीं छोड़ रहा। दरअसल, हाल ही में म्यूकोरमाइकोसिस यानि कि ब्लैक फंगस के कई मामले सामने आए थे वहीं अब एवैस्कुलर नेक्रोसिस यानी 'बोन डेथ' के तीन नए मामले आए हैं। एवैस्कुलर नेकरोसिस (ए.वी.एन) हड्डियों की एक ऐसी स्थिति है जिसमें बोन टिश्यू यानी हड्डियों के ऊत्तक मरने लगते हैं। यह स्थिति तब होती है, जब इन ऊत्तकों तक पर्याप्त मात्रा में रक्त नहीं पहुंच पाता। इसे ऑस्टियोनेक्रोसिस भी कहा जाता है। एवैस्कुलर नेकरोसिस से हड्डियां घिसने लगती हैं और अंतत: खत्म होने के कगार पर पहुंच जाती हैं। वजन उठाने पर जोड़ों में दर्द होने लगता है और अंत में स्थिति इतनी ज्यादा बिगड़ जाती है कि लेटे रहने पर भी जोड़ों में दर्द होता है। इस बीमारी में दर्द मध्यम दर्जे का या बहुत तेज होता है और यह धीरे-धीरे बढ़ता जाता है। कूल्हे में एवैस्कुलर नेकरोसिस होने पर इसी अंग, पेड़ू, और जांघ में दर्द होता है।
