Electricity Crisis: Opposition targets Punjab government

The Amarinder Singh government in Punjab was panned by the opposition Akali Dal and BJP on Friday as the state faced a power crisis. The power demand peaked to 14,500 MW against the supply of 13,700 MW. The government announced that all government offices would function from 8am to 2pm from Friday to cut power usage.
