India reports 48,786 new Covid cases, 1,005 deaths

India reported 48,786 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. 1,005 deaths were also reported in the same duration taking the overall toll to 3,99,459. As many as 61,588 people recovered and were discharged in the past 24 hours taking the toll to 2,94,88,918. 5,23,257 active cases were reported till date. 33,57,16,019 people have been inoculated so far.
