ICC likley to make big changes in WTC points system for second Phase | Oneindia Sports

ICC has released a new schedule for the WTC 2. India vs England Pataudi series that is to be played from August 4 will mark the start of a new cycle of WTC. The major change that has taken place is the introduction of rating teams per match. In the first edition of WTC Final, each series consisted of 120 points, thus a lot of boards complained that this system was unfair as it gives an unruly advantage to teams playing 2-match series'. Thus, in the new system, each team will get 12 points for a win, 4 for a draw and 6 for a tie.

ICC World Test Championship का दूसरा सीजन India और England टेस्ट सीरीज से शुरू होने वाला है. इस सीरीज से पहले WTC की New Points System में बड़ा बदलाव करने वाली है. रिपोर्ट के अनुसार ICC नया नियम लेकर आएगी जिसमें धीमे ओवर फेंकने वाली टीमों का एक अंक काट लिया जाएगा. मतलब साफ है कि धीमे ओवर फेंकने की वजह से टीमें World Test Championship के फाइनल में पहुंचने से भी चूक सकती हैं. ESPNCRICINFO की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक आईसीसी जीतने वाली टीम को 12 अंक देगी. मैच अगर ड्रॉ रहा तो दोनों टीमों को 4-4 अंक मिलेंगे. टाई होने पर 6-6 अंक बंटेंगे.
