Loknath Behera retires as Kerala Police Chief today

The state police department organised farewell programme at Peroorkada SAP ground in the honour of State Police Chief (SPC) Loknath Behera, who is getting retired on June 30. Behera completed five years as SPC, making him one of the longest-serving police chiefs in Kerala. Behera, who hails from Odisha, is a 1985 batch IPS officer. He has worked on deputation in CBI and NIA and has investigated several terrorism cases. He is known for modernising the state police force by introducing modern technologies and weapons.
