MP Minister Pradhuman Singh Tomar's Statement On Fuel Price Rise: Use Cycles To Reduce Pollution
  • 3 years ago
Common man continues to bear the brunt of sky-high fuel prices across the country. As the prices of petrol & diesel have risen steadily, a BJP minister in Madhya Pradesh has given a "cost-effective" solution to the people. When asked about the prices of fuel in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Pradhuman Singh Tomar said, "Do we ride a bicycle to a vegetable market? It will keep us healthy and keep pollution away”. “Is petrol and diesel more important than health schemes?" he asked. When pressed about the state government's initiatives to bring down the fuel prices, Tomar stressed that the state has no command over the petrol & diesel prices, as they are regulated by the Centre. Meanwhile, on June 28, a case was lodged before a court in a north Bihar town against Union Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan in connection with the spiralling rise in petrol prices.
