In a first political engagement by the Centre after the abrogation of Article 370, PM Modi on June 24 reached out to all the political parties in Jammu and Kashmir. In the meeting, Jammu and Kashmir leaders were assured that the Centre is committed to granting statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, a demand raised by all the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir.
