A Queensland police officer has died on duty while trying to intercept a stolen vehicle north of Brisbane overnight. Fifty-three year-old senior constable David Master was hit on the Bruce highway and pronounced dead at the scene. Police say an extensive search is underway to locate the driver and the vehicle.
