देशभर में कोरोना के खिलाफ तेजी से टीकाकरण अभियान चल रहा है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, अब तक 29 करोड़ 46 लाख से अधिक टीके लगाए जा चुके हैं। भारत में सबसे ज्यादा जिस वैक्सीन का इस्तेमाल हो रहा है, वो है ऑक्सफोर्ड और एस्ट्राजेनेका की वैक्सीन। भारत में इस वैक्सीन को कोविशील्ड नाम दिया गया है। अब तक इसके करोड़ों लोगों को इसकी खुराक दी जा चुकी है। वैसे तो यह बहुत पहले ही बताया जा चुका है कि वैक्सीन लेने के बाद कुछ लोगों में बुखार, थकान, सिर दर्द और मांसपेशियों में दर्द जैसे मामूली साइड-इफेक्ट हो सकते हैं, लेकिन इसको लेकर किए गए दो अलग-अलग अध्ययनों में चौंकाने वाले दावे किए गए हैं। कहा जा रहा है कि ऑक्सफोर्ड और एस्ट्राजेनेका की वैक्सीन लेने से कुछ लोगों में एक दुर्लभ न्यूरोलॉजिकल डिसऑर्डर की समस्या भी देखी जा रही है, जिसका नाम गुलियन-बेरी सिंड्रोम है। ये तंत्रिका तंत्र से जुड़ी बीमारी है। अगर यह बीमारी पूरे शरीर में फैल जाए तो व्यक्ति लकवाग्रस्त भी हो सकता है।
