BSF thwarts massive drug smuggling attempt in J&K, seizes heroin worth Rs 135 crore

In a major development, the Border Security Force (BSF) Jammu on June 23 foiled smuggling attempt along international border in J&K’s Kathua. NS Jamwal, IG BSF, Jammu Frontier informed that a Pakistani smuggler was killed during the encounter. 27 kg of heroin worth Rs 135 crores was seized by BSF. The troops were alerted after noticing a suspicious movement on the international border from the Pakistan side.
