In view of forecast of heavy rainfall, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning in several districts of Odisha till June 27. While the cyclonic circulation over south Bangladesh and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal is still prevalent, the weather department has said that the effects of the currently active southwest monsoon will be felt intensely in Odisha in the coming days.
