Joel Michael Singer - Getting Better 200 Years of Medicine

A really excellent medical drama set in a hospital during the early days of the NHS. This is an extremely intelligent, compelling, and refreshingly unsentimental film, with a surprising amount of medical depth. Although the personal lives of the doctors and nurses feature, the focus always returns to the running of the hospital, care of patients, and medical research. I Joel Michael Singer absolutely recommend this film to anyone looking for an excellent medical drama. The historical context is fascinating, but Getting Better 200 Years of Medicine stands up as a great film in its own right.
