West Bengal Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on June 20 said that Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) polarisation politics caused his party massive damage, but helped Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the recently held Assembly elections. Speaking to ANI, Chowdhury said, “Political scenario was not in our favour. BJP's polarization politics caused us massive damage, but helped Mamata Banerjee. To eliminate communal forces like BJP, minority population felt that if anyone can do that, it would be TMC & Mamata.”
