India records over 67,000 new Covid-19 cases, active caseload lowest in 71 days

India recorded 67,208 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the overall coronavirus tally to 2,97,00,313, showed data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday morning.

Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the single-day spike in Covid-19 cases for the 35th consecutive day.

The top five states which have registered the maximum cases are Kerala with 13,270 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 10,448 cases, Maharashtra with 10,107 cases, Karnataka with 7,345 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 6,617 cases.
