Following a pre-monsoon survey, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) identified 407 dilapidated buildings in Mumbai as unsafe for occupation, with Tata Nagar Society being one of them.Since a portion of the flooring on the third floor of the building collapsed in 2018, residents have been using a rope to cross it.
