Most Australians think we need a federal corruption watchdog

The Australia Talks national survey finds a majority of respondents think politicians are largely unaccountable for their actions, and a federal corruption watchdog is needed. The Federal Government promised an independent corruption watchdog in 2018, but the legislation is yet to pass the parliament. Independent Member for Indi, Helen Haines, says the survey results aren’t surprising, when the government is yet to take action.
