Men from every home in Chushot are enrolled in Indian Army

A small village in Ladakh with just 63 houses, Chushot has a deep connection with the Indian Army. Young men from almost every home in this village are enrolled in the Indian Army, many currently deployed in forwarding areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) amid the ongoing India-China tussle. For decades, generations from Chushot village have served the army by signing up for the Ladakh Scouts, an infantry regiment. Watch video.
