Small Dust Devil Forms at a Shear Line

On a hot afternoon in Maui, Hawaii this person witnessed a strange but common natural phenomenon. Extreme heat and slight drought in the area, lead to the development of what is called a Shear line. This then gave way to the formation of a dust devil, stripping away all the topsoil.
