NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on June 13 spoke about the UNDP assessment on programs of inspirational districts. ‘Appraisal of the Aspirational Districts Programme’ is aimed to assess the effectiveness of the flagship programme of the Centre and generate evidence-based documentation which can be used to support NITI Aayog. 

He said, "UN has done independent 3rd party study and concluded that program of aspirational districts, launched by PM in Jan'18 has been remarkable success, aspirational districts did better than non-aspirational districts and it should be implemented in other countries.”
