Post-Pandemic Dating Questions You've Been Asking Yourself, Answered
  • 3 years ago
According to OkCupid, users who are planning on or have gotten their vaccine are receiving 15 percent more likes and 14 percent more matches.
Vaccination status aside, there are still a number of pressing post-pandemic dating questions that many have.
Here are the four top questions, answered by medical practitioners.
1. Is it safe to start dating again? The level of “safety” depends on a number of individual factors such as underlying conditions, age and the prevalence of COVID-19 in their locale. All in all, if you’re a vaccinated, healthy young person the risks associated with dating are “vanishingly low.”
2. How do you ask someone if they’re vaccinated? Casually slip it into the conversation by sharing your status and asking about theirs. It’s best to figure it out as early in the dating process
as possible; just remember to be direct and kind.
3. Is it safe to kiss someone? , If you’re both vaccinated, the risks of contracting COVID-19 are pretty low.
4. Is it safe to go to a crowded spot for a date? , If you’re both vaccinated, healthy and your neighborhood is experiencing high vaccination rates, then your risk of COVID-19 is low.
If you have doubts, it’s easy to check businesses beforehand to see what precautions they’re taking and what you can do to make your date as safe (and fun) as possible.
