Hit hard by the COVID19 pandemic, the Jatra artistes of the state have threatened to stage ‘fast unto death’ protest. Even though the government has allowed Jatra stage shows with 500 attendees, the artistes alleged that it is not enough for them to survive. Demanding permission for 2,000 spectators at their stage shows, Jatra artistes have threatened to stage the agitation from February 22.
