In a tragic incident a three-year-old girl was charred to death following a fire at a paddy field. The mishap occurred at Okilpal village under Rajnagar block of Kendrapada district late on Thursday night (January 28).
The minor girl’s parents and elder sister were critically injured and were admitted to Cuttack medical.
According to sources, the minor was sleeping with her family to guard their harvested paddy in their farmland. Late in the night a fire broke out. It is suspected that the fire was caused by an oil lamp kept at the spot.
