FISHED OUT OF WATER

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel from Sub-Station Candijay apprehended five local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing at Barangay Panas, Candijay, Bohol on June 9, 2021. The fishermen from the municipalities of Ubay and Talibon were using a compressor while fishing — a violation of Municipal Ordinance 13 Series of 2017. The arrested individuals, their fishing paraphernalia, and approximately three kilos of illegally caught fishes were turned over to the Municipal Police Station in Candijay for the filing of appropriate charges and proper disposition of the seized items.
