Political tussle and tension triggered by verbal attacks marked the launch of the Bindusagar Lake cleaning initiative in Bhubaneswar. Off the stage, a minor scuffle broke out between BJD and BJP workers who raised slogans targeting each other. Then the show moved on stage with BJD MLA Ashok Panda and BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi targeting each other in their addresses.

Then it was the turn of Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who pulled up BJD party workers for raising slogans.

All this drama unfolded at the launch of the Bindusagar lake rejuvenation initiative, which is being executed by the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) in collaboration with the state government of Odisha. The project was launched by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
