Once a royal palace court, this ancient building dates back to the British Era. It was constructed in 1921 during the reign of Boudh King, Jogendra Dev. On its 100th anniversary this year, it was converted into a district museum with an eclectic collection of historic, cultural, artistic and literary artefacts of significance. The museum showcases some of the rare collections of the royal family from the British era.

Swords, gold and silver currencies, metal items, palm leaf carvings, images of freedom fighters, potter’s wheel, stone carvings, ancient flute instruments and varieties of terracotta items have been kept in this museum to attract tourists.
