With cold wave conditions intensifying, the India Meteorological Department has issued orange warning for 6 districts of Odisha. Orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Angul, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh and Dhenkanal districts for the next 24 hours.
Yellow warning has been issued for as many as 15 districts including Koraput, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Deogarh, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jajpur and Keonjhar.
The met office has predicted that the temperature will be below normal by 3-4 degrees Celsius over the districts of Coastal Odisha during the next few days. However, there will be no large changes in minimum or night temperature over the districts of Interior Odisha during the same time.
