To tackle the unauthorised parking menace in the capital city, a drive has been launched to get rid of abandoned vehicles from roadsides and public places. The aim of this drive is to remove the old and unattended vehicles from different areas of the city to decongest roads.
The drive will be first launched in Barmunda Bus Stand, Rasulgarh Industrial Area and Kalpana Sqaure. The Twin City Traffic DCP, Soumya Mishra said that this drive will be extended to all the areas of Bhubaneswar in near future. The DCP has also requested the general public to inform the police about illegal parking in their locality through social media or by calling the 100 helpline number.
