OCA Men's T20 League Begins | OTV News

Cricket made a return in Odisha after the COVID19 lockdowns with Odisha Cricket Association Inter-District Senior Men’s T-20 League beginning at Barabati Stadium. The league will feature 37 teams divided into six groups with six teams each with the exception of one seven-team group. The tournament will continue till December 22 and all the matches will be played by strictly adhering to Covid-19 guidelines.

A total of 103 matches will be played during the entire tournament. The matches will be played at nine venues namely, Barabati, Ravenshaw, DRIEMS, Nimpur, Bidanasi, KIIT, Vikash, Centurion and Town Club grounds in the Twin City. The final will be played at the Barabati Stadium on December 22.

OCA will provide accommodation, food, and transportation facilities to all the participating teams in the tournament. Bio-secure bubbles have been created at all places of accommodation so that the players can stay safe. As per the OCA secretary, all the players and officials associated with the tournament will be tested as per Covid-19 guidelines.

This aims to provide necessary exposure to the youngsters from the State to prepare themselves for big stages like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the IPL.
