In a country where farming is the primary source of livelihood for most, a man from Bhadrak has set an example for others. Farmer Mrunmay Jena has proved that it is possible to excel in any field. This simple farmer from Dhamara in Bhadrak district runs a flourishing poultry and fishery business.

One might assume that Mrunmay had this business handed over on a silver platter. But that could not be farther from the truth. In reality, Mrunmay worked incredibly hard to build this business to support his family. As a child, Mrunmay was good in studies and cleared the matriculation exam securing first division. He had even completed his Plus II Science. However, Mrunmay could not continue his studies due to financial issues in the family.

After 8 years of hard work and dedication, Mrunmay has managed to improve his family’s financial condition over time. With his family’s constant support, he continues to grow and aim higher.

Mrunmay has proved that with hard work and determination, anyone can improve their livelihood and turn their life around even through farming.
