Prime Minister Narendra Modi is back in the hot seat to drive India’s Covid-19 vaccination efforts, eight weeks after the Centre had announced a liberalized vaccination policy. The vaccine guidelines 2.0 that kicked in on May 1, allowing states to buy 25 percent of doses from vaccine makers to inoculate the 18-44 age group at government facilities, have been junked.
