Black Fungus: ‘Trying to prevent it at source level itself,’ says Karnataka Dy CM

About the black fungus situation in Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan said that the government is working on detecting and preventing it at the source level itself. “The question of more people getting infected with black fungus doesn't arise, we are detecting it at all levels, once the detection happens, we will prevent it at the source level itself,” said CN Ashwathnarayan. “We are working to ensure supply is more than demand. We have a shortage of Liposomal Amphotericin vials. The Centre has already supplied us with over 20,000 vials, which is not sufficient. Probably over time, demand for the medicine will be addressed,” he added.
