The Editors Guild of India has welcomed the Supreme Court's decision of quashing the sedition case against journalist Vinod Dua. The Editors Guild said in its statement that this decision "emphasizes the importance of keeping journalists safe from cases of treason, but the question is why India is carrying a law which the British repealed in the country years ago".
