The PKR National Congress which was scheduled to take place virtually on Sunday has been postponed indefinitely.
This comes after the National Security Council (NSC) sent a letter to the party to postpone the central congress.
On top of that, the Registrar of Societies also gave a verbal instruction for the online meeting to be postponed.
Congress director Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, in a statement issued this afternoon, said the NSC's latest instruction contradicts its letter dated May 27th that stated no objections against plans to hold the PKR National Congress online.
