Gujarat Distributes Homeopathic Drug As 'Prophylaxis' to More Than Half Its Population

The Gujarat Govt. has distributed a homeopathic drug Arsenicum Album 30 to more than half of it's population. Other states have also distributed the drug in various capacities. For instance, Mumbai and Haryana Prison Department distributed the drug to prisoners and officers respectively. The drug has invited controversy as there is no scientific evidence to support the efficacy of the drug. Various health officials have also stated that the clinical trials of the drug have yielded no conclusive results. In addition to this, medical scientists and some homeopathic doctors have also questioned the drug's credibility. The distribution of the drug has given people a false sense of security, and hence spread misinformation.
