Cases of black fungus are increasing all over the country. From children to the elderly, everyone is vulnerable to Mucormycosis. When a person is suffering from a fungal infection, then he sees symptoms like blockage in the nose, loss of eyesight, swelling of the face and severe pain in the head. Doctors are constantly saying that if the patient is brought to the hospital as soon as the symptoms of black fungus are seen, then there is no risk of life. Doctors also say that there are very few cases when black fungus reaches the brain. Black fungus has been seen in the brain in 15% of the patients of black fungus admitted to the Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital, the government hospital of Indore, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. If there is severe headache, vomiting or nausea, if the infection has spread more in the brain, then the person gradually loses consciousness. Doctors also say that patients are getting affected due to lack of Amphotericin-B injection and treatment of black fungus is becoming a challenge.

ब्‍लैक फंगस के केस देशभर में बढ़ते ही जा रहे हैं। बच्‍चों से लेकर बुजुर्गों तक सभी म्यूकरमायोसिस (Mucormycosis) की चपेट में आ रहे हैं। जब कोई व्‍यक्ति फंगल इंफेक्‍शन (Black Fungul Infection) का शिकार हो रहा है तो उसे नाक में ब्‍लॉकेज होना, आंखों की रोशनी कम होना, चेहरे के एक तरह सूजन होना और सिर में तेज दर्द जैसे लक्षण दिखते हैं। डॉक्‍टर लगातार कह रहे हैं कि अगर ब्‍लैक फंगस के लक्षण दिखते ही मरीज को अस्‍पताल लाया जाए तो जान का जोखिम नहीं है। डॉक्‍टर यह भी कहते हैं कि बहुत कम केस होते हैं जब ब्‍लैक फंगस दिमाग तक पहुंचता है। ब्‍लैक फंगस के कई मरीजों में ब्‍लैक फंगस को ब्रेन (Black Fungus in Brain) में देखा गया है। तेज सिर में दर्द होना, उल्टियां होना या जी मचलना, अगर इंफेक्‍शन दिमाग में ज्‍यादा फैल चुका है तो व्‍यक्ति धीरे-धीरे होश हवास भी खोने लगता है। डॉक्‍टर्स का यह भी कहना है कि Amphotericin-B इंजेक्‍शन की कमी के कारण मरीज प्रभावित हो रहे हैं और ब्‍लैक फंगस का इलाज एक चैलेंज बन रहा है।
