India Adds Over 2.4 Lakh New Infections in Three Days, National Tally at 40 Lakh | COVID-19 Updates

Since the last two consecutive days, India has been recording over 80,000 new cases. The total caseload is nearing 4 lakh and over 68,000 people have died. J-K recorded more than 1,000 COVID-19 cases in a day for the first time on September 4, infection tally in the state now 39,943 In Haryana, two dhabas in Murthal were sealed on September 4, after their 75 workers tested positive for Covid-19, a majority of 65 workers tested positive at the Amrik-Sukhdev Dhaba. In Rajasthan, a BJP state president Satish Poonia has tested positive for Covid-19. Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on September 4 that the situation in the state was "not good", as 1,553 new COVID-19 cases and 10 fatalities were reported taking the infection count to 79,624 and death toll to 315. In Delhi, Mohalla Clinics will soon be turned into Covid-19 testing centres between 2 pm and 6 pm each day. In addition to this, the Delhi international airport will also set up a COVID-19 testing facility for passengers.
