With 200 Staffers at AIIMS Infected with Coronavirus, The Wire Speaks to an RDA Doctor on the Crisis

दिल्ली में कोरोनावायरस का खतरा बढ़ता जा रहा है. देश की राजधानी में एक दिन में एक हजार से ज्यादा कोरोना मरीज सामने आने से प्रशासन और जनता दोनों ही चिंता में हैं. वहीं, देश के सबसे बड़े अस्पताल AIIMS में भी स्वास्थ्य कर्मी और डॉक्टर-नर्स कोरोना की चपेट में आ रहे हैं. एम्स में अब तक करीब 200 हेल्थकेयर वर्कर कोरोना पॉजिटिव मिल चुके हैं.पिछले दो दिनों में यहां 50 से ज्यादा स्वास्थ्य कर्मी कोरोना पॉजिटिव मिले हैं.
RDA यानी रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन ने इस स्थिति के लिए मास्क और पीपीई किट की ख़राब क्वालिटी को ज़िम्मेदार ठहराया है.
एक तो एम्स में मामलों की संख्यां में उछाल देखा गया है लेकिन दो स्टाफ मेंम्बर्स की मौत इस स्थिति की गंभीरता को बताती है. हाल ही में एक मेस स्टाफ और एक सैनिटेशन स्टाफ की कोरोना से मौत हो गई है.
द वायर की सृष्टि श्रीवास्तव ने आरडीए के जनरल सेकेट्री डॉ श्रीनिवास राजकुमार टी से बातचीत की है. उनका कहना है कि एक महीने से एसोसिशन ने रेगुलर स्क्रीनिंग, मेस में अच्छी क्वालिटी के मास्क व् सैनेटाइजर मुहैया कराए जाने की मांग की थी लेकिन कोई समाधान नहीं निकला.
वहीँ एम्स ने दावा किया है कि सभी वर्कर को उचित सुविधा मुहैया कराई गई थी. एम्स प्रशासन ने बाद में एक बयान जारी किया और इन आरोपों को गलत और आधारहीन बताते हुए खारिज कर दिया.
अब हेल्थ वर्कर्स के अलावा तीन रेजिडेंट डॉक्टर, एक एमबीबीएस छात्र, 8 नर्स और 5 मेस कर्मी कोरोना संक्रमित हुए हैं। इसके साथ ही लैबरेटरी स्टाफ, टेक्नीशियन, सैनिटेशन स्टाफ और सिक्यॉरिटी गार्ड्स भी कोरोना का शिकार हुए हैं.
अब इन सभी की कॉन्टैक्ट ट्रेसिंग की जा रही है. अब दोबारा से खराब गुणवत्ता के मास्क और किट का मुद्दा उठ रहा है.
