Meet The Woman Who Prayed Inside Sabarimala

After resisting the Supreme Court's verdict for months, the Sabarimala Temple Board finally changed its stance and said it agreed devotees cannot be discriminated against on the ground of “biological attributes”. This comes after the Supreme Court heard a batch of review petitions for, and against its September 28 verdict.

After the visit of Bindu and her friend, Kanakadurga to the Sabarimala shrine on January 2, 2019, Kerala saw a spate of violence from people who claimed themselves to be the devotees of the celibate Lord Ayyappa. The shrine was also 'purified' by priests after the two women prayed there.
