Hotel industry hit hard by 2nd COVID wave, expert explains

The second wave of coronavirus has hit India hard. According to the latest data by Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), more than 2.5 crore people became unemployed in the country during the Corona period. As most of the states in the country remained under lockdown amid the second wave of Covid-19, the unemployment rate shot up to a 12-month high at 11.9 per cent in May compared to 7.97 per cent in April. During a program with Aaj Tak, expert revealed the hotel business is the worst affected by second Covid wave. Watch.
