"Our fight is against the BJP": JD(U) leader Sanjay Jha
  • 3 years ago
Sanjay Jha, president of Delhi unit of Janata Dal (United), speaks to to Gaurav Vivek Bhatnagar of The Wire about how his party has decided to contest municipal elections in Delhi to highlight the problems faced by lakhs of Poorvanchalis staying in unhygienic conditions in the city.

Noting that the BJP-led civic bodies have failed the people, Jha said that the Aam Aadmi Party, which JD(U) had supported in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, also failed to live up to its promise. JD(U) has 98 candidates in the fray as nominations of another 13 were rejected on allegedly "frivolous grounds".
