Free Speech Clamp Down Charge Roils Ashoka University

Ashoka University has recently come under the scanner for clamping down on free speech against its students, faculty, and alumni who had signed a petition condemning the violence in Kashmir. The petition clearly stated that it did not express the university's views.

Over the following weeks, two staffers resigned unexpectedly and the university’s decision to moderate its students’ emails has raised concerns about their freedom of speech.
