After the defeat in the election of village head in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, the candidate announced a change of religion. Candidate Suresh Gangwar got only 43 votes in the recently concluded Panchayat elections. Suresh Gangwar had contested for the post of Pradhan, but he had to face defeat. He was very upset with his crushing defeat. However, after persuading BJP leaders, the candidate changed his decision.

उत्तर प्रदेश (Uttar Pradesh) के बरेली (Bareilly) में ग्राम प्रधान के चुनाव (UP Panchayat Chunav) में मिली हार के बाद प्रत्याशी ने धर्म परिवर्तन का ऐलान कर दिया. प्रत्याशी सुरेश गंगवार को हाल ही में सपन्न हुए पंचायत चुनाव में मात्र 43 वोट मिले थे. सुरेश गंगवार ने प्रधानी के पद के लिए चुनाव लड़ा था, लेकिन उनको हार का सामना करना पड़ा. वे अपनी इस करारी हार से काफी परेशान थे. हालांकि बीजेपी नेताओं के मनाने के बाद प्रत्याशी ने अपना फैसला बदल दिया है.
