The Centre on Tuesday shared details of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to West Bengal to review the impact of cyclone Yass. The government released a point-wise rebuttal of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s claim that she was informed late about the PM’s program and meeting and waited for the prime minister to arrive.

The Centre said that the PM’s visit was to review the impact of cyclone Yaas in the state and hence, could not be finalized before the cyclone hit the state. The Central government also said that Mamata Banerjee had agreed to the meeting, but had changed her mind later.
