Parliament still closed, but MPs can cross borders to visit constituencies
  • 3 years ago
Parliamentarians and state assemblypersons can cross state and district boundaries to visit their respective constituencies but are not permitted to hold or attend any events during the "total lockdown" which starts today (June 1).

This is according to the latest standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the National Security Council (NSC).

"MPs and state assemblypersons are allowed to travel interstate and interdistrict to visit their respective constituencies without carrying out any events (Ahli Parlimen dan Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri dibenarkan merentas negeri dan daerah untuk melawat kawasan masing-masing tanpa melaksanakan sebarang majlis)," reads the SOP.
